You are enjoying your summer in the new neighborhood and your kids are outside in the backyard running around and laughing. They notice a little boy outside getting hit and think nothing of it. Until its everyday and they finally tell you. Then you later find out the child is being abused. He has bruises head to toe and wears the same close over and never smiles or looks at the kids playing. He seems scared and skittish. A person who suffers extreme emotional and physical abuse as a child will be affected for life, therefore the adult responsible for the abuse should receive a life sentence as well. Children are the most innocent among us humans. They cant defend themselves. They could develop trust issues and that affects more than you think. If we had stricter laws against child abuse, it might make adults think twice about hurting a child. Child abuse should not happen. Any kid should never go through this. People have noticed that if the child that was abused does not seek help and counselling they could turn out the same way. their beatings could become more brutal. They could get addicted to the same things their parents did. As the child grows older they will have scars. Not only physically but, mentally. The child could possibly be immune to the beating and as they grow older the could fall into a abusive relationship and think its okay. Therefore the parents that abused should be in jail maybe even prison for life.
